The top of TecRec OC training. This course will qualify and prepare you to dive up to 75 metres/245 feet and beyond, using various trimix blends, air, enriched air and oxygen, with open circuit technical diving equipment. Gain skills, knowledge and procedures required to manage the risks involved.
Students who demonstrate any skill weakness need remediation to mastery levels prior to continuing in the Tec Trimix Diver course!
Participant prerequisites:
Minimum age: 18 years, To be certified as a PADI Tec 65 or have a qualifying certification in deep decompression diving using air/enriched air from another organization. If you are qualify through a qualifying certification other than PADI Tec Deep Diver must read the entire PADI Tec Deep Diver Manual and complete the Knowledge Reviews prior to beginning the Tec Trimix Diver course. This requirement is to assure student familiarity with TecRec philosophies and methodologies, as well as to refresh their knowledge. Have a minimum of 150 logged dives.
Standard duration: 4 days. For best result you have to do all four days in the roll. Every day you will have: theory, knowledge development, knowledge reviews, practical applications / final exam and of course diving. Total daily duration 4-6 hours .
Training dive one
Confined water or limited open water with ready access to water shallow enough in which to stand.
Depths: Minimum: 2.4 metres/8 feet Maximum 10 metres/30 feet.
Decompression: No stop only,
Gases: Air or EANx,
Training dive two
Open Water Depths: Minimum: 27 metres/90 feet Maximum: 50 metres/165 feet.
Decompression: Simulation decompression dive with two decompression gases.
Gases: Air, Air, EANx or oxygen
Training dive three
Open Water Depths: Minimum: 30 metres/100 feet Maximum: 50/55 metres/165/185 feet.
Decompression: Decompression dive with two decompression gases.
Gases: Air or Normoxic Trimix with 21% of Oxygen content. Air, EANx or oxygen for decompresion Ratios: 2:1, 3:1 with one or more certified assistants.
Training dive four
Open water Depths: Minimum: 45 metres/150 feet Maximum: 75 metres/245 feet.
Decompression: Decompression dive with two/three decompression gases.
Gases: Trimix with proper oxygen content . Triox, Air, EANx or Oxygen for decompresion. Ratios: 2:1, 3:1 with one or more certified assistants.
Instructor qualification: Teaching status, insured (where required) Tec Trimix Instructor Assistant qualification: renewed (insured where required) PADI Divemaster or higher certified as a Tec Trimix.
