
For the purposes of this level, a qualifying technical certification is one that qualifies you to make decompression dives up to 45 metres/145 feet using air and EANx for back gas, technical open circuit scuba equipment, with double cilynders and one deco stage for multistop decompression dives.
In this course you will use for the first time EANx or Oxygen for accelerated decompression. There is no time limits for decompression duration.
Standard duration: 4 days. For best result you have to do all four days in the roll. Every day you will have: theory, knowledge development, knowledge reviews, practical applications / final exam and of course diving. Total daily duration 4-6 hours.

You have to be:
Certified as a Tec 40 diver or qualifying certification from another training organization. Minimum 18 years old, 50 logged dives (12 deeper than 18 metres/60 feet using EANx, at least 6 deeper than 30 metres/100 feet (with or without EANx).
Training dive one
Confined water or limited open water with ready access to water shallow enough in which to stand.
Depths: Minimum: 2.4 metres/8 feet Maximum 10 metres/30 feet Decompression: No stop only.
Gases: Air or EANx, recommended that all blends be breathable at maximum dive depth
Training dive two
Open water Depths: Minimum: 12 metres/40 feet Maximum: 18 metres/60 feet.
Decompression: No stop only
Gases: Air or EANx, recommended that all blends be breathable to maximum dive depth.
Training dive three
Open Water Depths: Minimum: 18 metres/60 feet Maximum: 30 metres/100 feet.
Decompression: No stop only. Simulated decompression dive.
Gases: Air, Air, EANx or oxygen
Training dive four
Open Water Depths: Minimum: 27 metres/90 feet Maximum: 45 metres/145 feet.
Decompression: Single gas decompression.
Gases: Air, EANx or oxygen. Ratios Student:Instructor: 3:1, 4:1 with one or more certified assistant.
Instructor qualification: Teaching status, insured (where required) Tec Deep Instructor Assistant qualification: renewed (insured where required) PADI Divemaster or higher certified as a Tec 45 or higher level TecRec diver.
